A former GE executive, Suresh is an internationally acknowledged business leader known for his pragmatic vision, thought-leadership, operational excellence and entrepreneurial successes. His passion has been to grow businesses: be it in Fortune 50 multi-billion dollar large corporations or in his several successful entrepreneurial small & medium enterprises.
Suresh is an internationally acknowledged business leader known for his pragmatic vision, thought-leadership, operational excellence, inventions and entrepreneurial successes. A former GE executive, and co-author of the best-selling book Global Outsourcing: Executing an Onshore, Nearshore and Offshore Strategy (www.amazon.com), Suresh, over past 25 years, has played leading roles in setting up and running major facilities in manufacturing, R&D, Engineering Services, IT, Retail, BPO (Business Process), and Healthcare in U.S.A., India, Mexico, China, Canada, EU, Eastern Europe, and Asia.
His passion is to grow businesses profitably - big or small: Be it in a Fortune 50 multi-billion dollar global corporation or his several successful entrepreneurial small & medium enterprises. Over past two decades, he led 8 businesses to significant growth creating a total value of several billion dollars for stakeholders.
Suresh has contributed extensively in the Energy, Aviation, e-Business, Security, Global Sourcing, Materials, IT, Supply Chain, Six Sigma Quality and Defense industries. Most recently, he was President and CEO of Hydro Phi Technologies Inc. (www.hydrophi.com), an innovative water-based clean energy technology company, positioning it to become a leader in fuel savings for transportation industry. Earlier, he led Innovolt Inc (www.innovolt.com) to rapid global growth Â– from a challenged start-up to a fully operational and growing business in less than three years. He and Innovolt won several awards, including nominations for TOP 10 for leadership in Southeast, U.S.A. He is a well- known keynote speaker, and serves on the BOD of several organizations Â– private, non-profit and publicly listed.
For his work done in GE during 1999-2000, he was awarded a U.S. patent in e-Business software application to optimize power plants - that grew to generate revenues of over $1B in online sales. His past aerospace industry experience includes work with British Aerospace, Rolls-Royce, MATRA and NASA. Suresh started out with his first career as a Naval Officer in India, later specializing in Aviation and serving on Aircraft Carriers in India and U.K.
He is an active community volunteer and leader serving and having served numerous organizations in U.S. and abroad: External Industry Advisory Board of Georgia Tech (MSE), Fellow of Georgia Tech Venture Lab, Advisory Board: MAC (Metro Atlanta Chamber), GIACC (Georgia Indo-American Chamber of Commerce), TiE (The Indo-US Entrepreneurs), India China and America Institute, Board of Trustees of BITS-75 Charitable Trust, and an adjunct faculty to the B-school at BITS - Pilani, India. Suresh has an M.S. from University of Florida, Gainesville FL U.S.A. (1994), Management of Technology Courses with British Aerospace, PLC, U.K. (1983), and BE (Honors) in Mechanical from BITS, Pilani, India (1975).
