Charter Member Profile: Satya Tiwari • President, Satya Inc.

Satya Tiwari currently serves as President of Surya, a leading manufacturer and distributor of area rugs and home accessories. Since joining Surya in 2004, Satya has been instrumental to the growth of the Surya brand. Under Satya’s leadership the company has grown to $50 million in annual revenues from 2004 through 2011, a trend that is expected to continue. Satya served as an associate at Compass Partners International in New York from 2002 to 2004 and engaged in several large deals focusing in the Oil & Gas sector. Prior to that, he was an Investment Banking Analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston focusing in the technology sector.

Satya holds a B.A. in Economics and B.S. in Computer Engineering from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. A supporter of EMW’s SPELL scholarship program for impoverished students, he has provided funding for a pilot expansion of the program to India.
